Directions
In Gibson Park - 1 block south of Business 83 on Border Street in Weslaco.
Weslaco is located in the mid-valley, west of Harlingen and east of McAllen.
At present time there is highway construct all through Weslaco. Highway exits are poorly marked and only one is open from the west and one from the east.
If arriving on US HWY 83 from the West take the temporary exit for Milano St/ Westgate / 6Mi W. Stay on frontage road until Border Avenue and turn right (south) on Border. Travel south to Business 83, and cross Business. Travel south 1 ½ more blocks and then turn into Gibson City Park on the left. Go through the parking lot to the back and look for the tan colored nature center building.
If arriving on US HWY 83 from the East take the temporary exit for Airport Dr / Texas Blvd. Stay on frontage road until Texas Boulevard and turn left (south) under the over pass on Texas. Travel south to Business 83, and turn right (west) on Business. Travel west to Border Avenue, and turn left (south) on Border Avenue. Travel south 1 ½ blocks and then turn into Gibson City Park on the left. Go through the parking lot to the back and look for the tan colored nature center building.
