Anzalduas/Bentsen CBC Rio Grande Pontoon Boat Trip

The Valley Nature Center is offering a different twist for the Christmas Bird Count (CBC) enthusiast!  This season a Anzalduas/Bentsen Pontoon Boat Trip CBC is available to all interested “assistant” bird counters!  This Pontoon Boat Trip offers a 3 hour minimum boat ride on the Rio Grande, with possibly up to 4 hours if there are lots of birds to count.  Guides, or Official Counters. will be aboard to point out the many interesting species found on the Rio Grande River.  This is a citizen science project and all data collected will be part of the annual bird count. 

• Meet at the dock in Mission at 7:00 a.m. on January 4, 2011.
• Boat departs promptly at 7:30 a.m.
• $18.00 per person.  * Must reserve in advance.
• 3 to 4 hour boat trip, depending on the counting!
• Space is limited so call soon to reserve.
