Volunteer Program
The Temporary Volunteer
Program is for those that can not commit long-term to the permanent Volunteer
Team Members Program. If you need to
complete certain number of hours for community service, or a similar situation,
this is the program for you.
If you wish to volunteer
under this program please come by the center, fill in the proper forms and set
up a time that you wish to volunteer.
You MUST call ahead and register a time that you wish to volunteer. We can not simply accept you without
notice. This is so that we have a
project ready for you and so that your time is valuably spent both for us and
for you.
ALL volunteers in this
program will have to call ahead and book their volunteer time slot EACH time
they are to volunteer.
The volunteer hours available
for this program are:
Thursday
Saturday 9 - 12 noon
Saturday
These are all outside projects, with possibly
a very few exceptions, so please be aware to dress appropriately and be
prepared. Possible projects include:
Pot seedlings (incl. mixing
dirt)
Fill seedling bands
Root trim potted plants
Re-pot plants in larger pots
Weed nursery
Water nursery
Sweep trails
Dig up unwanted saplings
& other plants in the park
